    • Rosewood Housing adds 12 new homes in Tring to its portfolio

    1 May 2020

Rosewood Housing, a registered affordable housing provider and subsidiary of Inland Homes, has added 12 new homes in Tring to its property portfolio.

This is the second scheme for Rosewood Housing which was approved by the Regulator of Social Housing in 2018. Four of the affordable homes are offered for Shared Ownership and eight are affordable rent properties.

Rosewood entered into an agreement with property developer WE Black to acquire the affordable housing required under the terms of the Section 106 at this scheme in September 2019.

With the homes now complete, Rosewood Housing is looking forward to welcoming the first residents into the rental properties in the next few weeks. All properties are being let in line with local housing allowances to ensure affordability. It has also released the Shared Ownership homes for sale, with the two-bedroom homes offered at a maximum 40% share (up to £160,000).

The homes are located within walking distance of the thriving market town of Tring and finished to a high standard throughout, with all homes benefitting from allocated parking.

Councillor Margaret Griffiths, Portfolio Holder for Housing at Dacorum Borough Council commented:

“Additional housing is greatly needed in the area, particularly given the challenges that many of our lower-income families are facing during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Dacorum Borough Council has already identified local families who will make these Rosewood properties their new homes.”

To support Rosewood’s commitment to deliver a professional and responsive management service, the housing provider has appointed Thrive Homes as management agents for the Tring homes. The management arrangement with Thrive Homes provides an excellent fit, with Thrive’s core management base and service offering aligning well to Rosewood’s portfolio needs.

Sally Ingham, Director at Rosewood Housing, commented:

“Now more than ever people need a safe place they can call home. We are passionate about creating high-quality places for people to live and that they can afford. Through Rosewood Housing, we’re able to offer homes in a range of tenures and across all affordability levels.

“We anticipated sustained demand for our rental and Shared Ownership homes and continue to actively seek further opportunities to grow our portfolio.”
