    • Safety first commitment delivers zero Accident Frequency Rate

    9 February 2023

We are pleased to announce that we have achieved an Accident Frequency Rate of zero for the 2022 calendar year.

This is an industry-standard calculation, based on the number of incidents reportable to HSE under the RIDDOR Regulations 2013, and the hours worked within the business.

The Group recorded in excess of 1.1 million hours worked in 2022 with no reportable incidents.

Group Head of Health, Safety & Environment Barry Richardson acknowledged the achievement:

“One of the Group’s key values is to always put safety first, making no compromises on anything safety related,” he said.

“This value is inherent in all that we do as business, in our decision making and our daily operations.”

“It gives me great pleasure therefore to see these results. I would like to personally thank all of our project teams for their continued efforts to implement and maintain high standards across the sites, and also in their prompt and appropriate reactions when incidents do occur.”
