    • Southampton celebrates launch of Chapel Riverside

    22 July 2019

Inland Homes welcomed VIP guests, including leading Southampton dignitaries Cllr Christopher Hammond, Leader of Southampton City Council, and Sandy Hopkins, CEO of Southampton City Council to the Chapel Riverside Phase 3 launch event on Monday 22 July.

Bringing an outstanding collection of homes to the Southampton waterfront, Phase 3 at Chapel Riverside comprises a luxury collection of 132 one, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with first completions expected in Spring 2020. With many apartments benefitting from waterside views overlooking Southampton’s wide selection of yachting marinas, Chapel Riverside will be a landmark development, culminating in the creation of a brand-new public realm with a new sea wall and riverside walkway.

Gary Skinner, Managing Director at Inland Homes, commented at the event:

“We are delighted to welcome members of Southampton City Council and our key stakeholders to celebrate the exclusive launch of this exciting new development. Our vision for Chapel Riverside is not just to create bricks and mortar, but to create a truly exceptional neighbourhood that benefits the wider Southampton community, and not just those living there. We are pleased to be able to offer residents here a sense of community and belonging, where they will flourish and be able to enjoy a greater quality of life surrounded by a stunning waterside backdrop.”

Perfect for a range of purchasers including first-time buyers, professionals and downsizers, the new apartments have the perfect balance of a diverse lifestyle, with access to the fast-paced vibrant city life combined with a slower, more relaxed waterside environment. Whilst playing host to a variety of bustling city amenities such as the Ocean Village marina complex and the West Quay shopping centre home to over 130 shops, Chapel Riverside residents also have access to the beauty of nature, with stunning riverside walks and award-winning parks providing the perfect opportunity to unwind.

During his visit, Councillor Christopher Hammond, Leader of Southampton City Council, commented:

“I am thrilled to have been invited to the official launch of the fantastic new collection of homes at Chapel Riverside. It was a pleasure seeing the team involved again in delivering the third phase of this brilliant project, which will provide beautiful homes for local residents and those further afield in a highly sought-after location. This is a very exciting time for Southampton, with two amazing Inland Homes developments brightening up the waterfront, and I cannot wait to visit Chapel Riverside again once construction of this next phase is complete.”

Chapel Riverside is situated in one of the best-connected locations in the South-East. Positioned close to a number of good rail, road, sea and air links, the development is ideally located for all types of travel. By rail, residents can reach London Waterloo directly in 1 hour 15 minutes from Southampton Central Station which is a short walk away, whilst by road the M27 and M271 connect residents to the rest of the South. By sea, the Isle of Wight is reachable in 25 minutes, and Southampton Airport gives residents access to European destinations such as Amsterdam and Paris in just over an hour.

The latest apartments at Chapel Riverside ooze style, and have been designed with the modern-day purchaser in mind. A typical two-bedroom apartment boasts an open-plan kitchen and living area with a number of integrated appliances including a fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The spacious master bedroom benefits from a contemporary ensuite, with a further bedroom and separate bathroom perfect for visiting guests. Purchasers at Chapel Riverside will also have the opportunity to choose from a selection of colour schemes for their new apartment’s kitchen, bathroom(s) and floors, depending on the stage of construction at the time of reserving.

Prices at Chapel Riverside start from £190,000, with all current released apartments available with Help to Buy. For more information, visit our Sales website.
